Milo Richards

is a film director, creative producer, and performer.

Milo Richards is a Georgia-based filmmaker best known for writing and directing the 2026 surrealist short, Fishy, with its World Premiere at the 2026 BFI Flare. He is a a recipient of the Film Impact Georgia Award and received an original orchestrated score in 2023 from the Seattle Film Institute's Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program for his short, Her Birthday Balloons. Milo's films have premiered at Oscar and BAFTA-qualifying festivals as well as internationally in the UK, Sweden and Montreal. He uses film as means for amplifying trans narratives. He is a graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University, holding a B.S. in Mass Communications and a B.A. in Theatre.

Milo is the current Event Coordinator at Out on Film, the South’s largest Oscar and BAFTA qualifying LGBTQ+ film festival, where he manages scheduling, outreach and connection with industry guests, publicists, national and local LGBTQ+ organizations, internal departments, and filmmakers.
